Attracting V.S Chasing Desires.

magnet

Hello all.
Do you attract or chase after what you want? Either way, if you do both the correct way you will get what you desire. I personally don’t chase after my desires. I consider myself a very determined and ambitious individual, but I attract rather than chase. You put yourself at the mercy of what you are trying to get when you are chasing. However when you are attracting things you are dominate to your desires, you place yourself in a better position to receive your desire. When you are attracting you have a detached quality to how you go about things. When you are in alignment with the right kind of detachment you have the attitude that if you get what you desire then great, if you don’t, that’s fine too. It’s a passive quality that puts you at the dominate position that allows things to come instead of you having to try and chase it. Attracting things to you is more natural and allows you to “be” instead of “do.” When you are truly being you, you tend to attract your desires instead of chasing your desires. Sure, there are things you will go after with a gusto, but the majority of good things and experiences are what you draw towards you sometimes effortlessly.
It’s really a matter of belief. When your belief is at a high level, it is much easier to attract than chase. So I recommend this for people that are operating at this high level of energy.
You will feel the difference between chasing and attracting, when you step into this awareness.

(Post Via. Beyond Success-Baker Blog)

Hello all.
Enjoying your day is easy once you realize that you can create it to be enjoyable. First, you must acknowledge and accept the fact that you can have an enjoyable day. When you recognize that you deserve an enjoyable day, the next steps become a lot more smoother. When you intend on enjoying your day, you will begin to look for things and events that allow your day to be enjoyable. There are many people living on default. This means that many people become robots to what they do on a regular basis. Many people feel that life just happens to them, and go through the motions. This can change with practice.

If you wake up in the morning and literally intend to enjoy your day, and focus on enjoyment, there is a great chance that things that come up during the day will be enjoyable. This is because you are seeking it out. Even when something really bad happens during the day, the way you deal with that circumstance might even be better this time around because your intentions were to see the good in the situation.

Enjoying your day needs to be concluded with a nice reward for yourself. When you have completed the day, by focusing on enjoying your day, do something really good for yourself such as buying a small scoop of your favorite ice cream or something you consider rewarding. When you reward yourself for enjoying your day, you will be training your mind to continue to have more enjoyable days ahead. Enjoy the process of enjoying your day and habitually practice rewarding yourself. This is positive reinforcement at it’s finest.

I suggest to look for the enjoyment in the small things. When you start to notice the little things in life that you may find enjoyable, these are generally the best things to focus on. Regardless if people find what you do boring or strange, continue to do it, if it is what you want, and is enjoyable for you.
For example, I really like going to the bookstore and reading books. I may or may not purchase a book. However, this is very enjoyable for me. Some people don’t like reading books. But I do it because it brings me joy. It’s a small thing, that I know makes a big difference in my life.

The combination of intending to enjoy your day at the start of the day, and rewarding yourself with something you like for accomplishing enjoying your day actually creates more enjoyable days for you in the future, and makes life a lot more fun. This is what it means to live an abundant lifestyle. There is so much good to go around for you once you realize that you can train yourself to accept it.
Once you get in a nice flow of intending, accepting, and rewarding yourself for creating enjoyable days for yourself, more enjoyable days are certain to come to you.

I hope you enjoyed this post.

Get a copy of my book.

Hello all.
After months of working on my book, I am happy to announce my book is now out published and ready for purchase. I just want to thank all the people that made this blog happen. The support of my readers have ultimately helped launch the completion of the book. A lot of the wisdom expressed here on Beyond Success-Baker Blog, are ideas expressed in the book, but more organized and concise. It’s a book that I honestly didn’t write myself, but it was a book that my “higher-self” wrote. So the words are coming from a much higher place than “myself.” As you read through the book you will feel the authenticity and honesty of the words. There is wisdom and knowledge here presented on this book that will guide you to be, do, and have what you want during these current times. I am big reader of several self-help and personal development books, and a lot of the ideas I express here were tools that I’ve come to understand and that have worked for me personally.

Please purchase your own copy of the book here:

Thank you all for all the positive energy and amazing support.
I look forward to hearing what you all of you think about the book!

What Are You Paying Attention To? What You Give Attention To, You Give Power.

19 12 2008

Hello All.
What are you paying most of your attention to? Whatever you give your most attention to you give power to. When you are watching a movie and you give all your attention to the movie, you are giving the people that made that movie happen your power. Ever wonder why movie stars get the big bucks?
If you are doing something you don’t enjoy and giving it your full attention, then you are giving that power away to something that does not serve you well. The opposite is also true. If you are giving your full attention to something you love then you give your power to that as well.
Why do you think the Holidays are such a wonderful time? Because almost everyone is focused on being nice, kind, and giving. Therefore the energy it creates feels good.

Baker’s Real Life Example

When I’m writing these blogs my attention is focused on providing positive value. This gives the readers power. This empowers the readers and thus I get empowered as well. As you send out you get back. My attention is focused of providing the words that will uplift you is my intent. You, the reader are my audience. I am giving you attention with the understanding that with these words I give you power, if you choose to allow it. (Freewill).

The Main Point of this Post

The main point is that what we pay most attention to we give power to. What are you giving your attention to? If you understand that what you give your attention to is what you give power to, Is what you are focusing your attention on serving you well?
