Being Present

“Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.”
-Buddah

This past week I’ve made an honest effort to stay more in the present moment. What I have found is that the longer I stay out of the present moment awareness, the more challenging it is to get back into it. In other words, the reason I chose to make a real effort to be in the present moment at the start of this week, is because the week prior I’ve been a little scattered and misplacing my energies into too many activities.
So I began this week trying to get into the present moment more. However, the interesting thing about “trying” to get into the present moment simply doesn’t work for me. It’s not something I can’t try to do. It seems the more I try to be present, what I’m seeking moves further away from me.
What I’ve done instead of trying to be more present, was to just accept whatever is in front of me that I must work with at the moment. Its more of being aware of what I’m doing at the exact moment, and accepting whatever comes to me in that exact time. I have found that if I keep my mind in awareness and acceptance of what is, I can go pass this whole idea of “trying to be present.”

Letting It Go

I have found that this week things tend to go so much more smooth and easier when I just let go and detach myself from trying to “get to” a certain outcome. For example, I wanted my Arizona video to be perfect. I wanted it to resemble a sense of inspiration and empowerment to my viewers. However, if I continued to think about perfection the whole way through the process of making the video, the video itself would never be released because I would be always constantly try to make changes on it and never really feel it is getting to where I want it to go. So I actually spent several weeks trying hard to put a video together that resembled the infant stages of my Arizona trip and blend it in nicely with quotes that I’ve used in this blog for optimal effect. I was trying to piece this video together, and just kept running into a wall. It just wasn’t working out trying to do it myself.

The Solution

So, I paid my wonderful, highly organized, and talented sister to do the video for me. Now this type of video creation comes very easy and naturally for her. In fact she loves doing this. So thank you Kimbundance for making this video for me, it came out just the way I wanted it and more so. So I am grateful for the successful collaboration.
The combination of detachment and letting things go, and being aware in the present moment has been a truly amazing experience for me. I hope this real life example has demonstrated for my readers the positive results of being present and detached in what you are aiming to accomplish. If not, that’s fine too I really don’t care either way.

Awesome Living

Awesome Living
“It’s the simple things that make life awesome.” +Baker

Awesome living, it’s something we all want. I know that I live an aweome life. I am living an awesome life, and that is not egotistical. It’s just the way it is. People that live aweome lives like me are shining from within. I don’t concern myself with the good or the bad that people are doing in life. It is not my mission to save the world. My mission is to spread light and be the authentic me that lives an awesome life.

Do I have bad days? Yes. There are times when things seem very challenging in life. But, even at that I find the awesomeness. But, I continue to live an awesome life because I focus on awesome.
For example, I had a salad this morning, it had my favorite salad dressing: blue cheese. Some people might not like blue cheese as a salad dressing, heck some people may not even like salad. But I do, and I think it is awesome that I get to eat healthy food with dressing that I think is delicious. That is a small example of how awesome I am living. It is very simple to some, but that’s the secret. It’s the simple things that make life awesome.

What is My Point?
Maybe in life there really doesn’t need to be a point to anything. Maybe I’m just typing here expressing my gratitude for a couple of people to read this, and maybe they can find something simple in this writing that sparks some kind of creative juice within them to make them happy. The intent of this post is not to blow you away. Although, I am blown away daily by how simple my life is and how awesome it is at the same time. I’m acknowledging the basics here. These basics lay the foundation for the beyond successful life that I lead. I had a salad, I enjoyed it in the present moment, I am writing to you now fully present enjoying it. Later on the day, I may go for a sunset run by the lake. I might even have another blue cheese salad for lunch and a delicious mouth watering fish burrito, who knows. All I know is that life is awesome and I’m enjoying the very simple things in the moment that allow that awesomeness to flow in. You can do the same if you want, it’s your choice.

Being Joy

“You can never have joy, you can only be it.”
+Baker

Last night, I stepped slightly out of alignment with myself. I felt this ego rush of wanting to do something so fun and grand.
I felt the need to do something outdoors late night that “normal” people do on Friday nights. Like go to the bar or go clubbing…I felt this strange urge to just revert back to my old ways of doing something ego filled, just for a quick rush, as if something outside of me would bring me a sense of joy…. (Boy Was I wrong)

I was going to hit the night scene, filled with a strong ego, and trying to get some type of “rush” out of it. Only to see a man dressed in civilian clothes, speaking about the “end of days.”
Granted, many people passed this man by as he spoke about how everyone in our society seems to be so controlled by regular media. He spoke about the shift in consciousness that I’ve written about in previous blog posts that I still stand by. So I actually was intrigued by his message and felt a sense of peace in that someone saw things the way I saw it as far as on a global scale of awareness.
His speech alone, made me want to reconsider what in the hell, I was doing. Why was I trying to go out and get this “rush” again?

I guess the truth is that it does get a little scary when you are totally at peace and in alignment with who you really are. This past week, was filled with beautiful and peaceful mediations that, allowed me to get in touch with my true nature. Yet, Friday night comes and all of a sudden I want something more, that consists of things outside of me?

Joy Won’t Be Found Outside of Yourself
Many times in life we try to find joy outside of ourselves. I don’t care where you are or what you have experienced in your life. The only joy you will ever really be real for you is when it’s from your inner being. If you think of it, the idea that joy comes only from your inner being first is where it ends and begins.

Any situation you find yourself in you can find the joy in it. If for example you are in a really solid amazing relationship with an amazing individual the joy may look like it comes from that individual, but it’s really coming from you. The individual may be the physical reflection for what you already have within you. The indvidual you are in relationship may present to you higher parts of yourself, thus joy is present. This also relates to certain achievements you may experience. It isn’t really the achievement of receiving a “thing” in your life that makes you joyful, it’s the joy from within you first that is expressed and the symbol of whatever you are achieving or receiving stems from yourself first.

Today’s World
In today’s world we are bombarded with things and experiences that we may think brings us joy. I for one, have fell victim to this as well. Thinking that going some place far off in the form of travel will bring me joy, (which I intend to do via future travel, but stay with me here. )

The joy in itself is in the present moment. There isn’t anything really spectacular that you have to do, to get this joy. You just simply acknowledge that it comes from with you first, and then however you choose to express that is really up to you. That’s the beauty of life. We don’t have to really try hard to receive joy, it’s already something that is inside each person just waiting to be acknowledge.

You can never “have” joy you can only be it. Many people mistakenly say, “When I get married and have kids then I will have joy.” or “When I get a salary raise, then I will have joy.” The point is many people are conditioned to believe that there needs to be something that happens outside of them to “have” joy. When you can only be joy.

The wonderful thing about this blog space for me, is that I get to be joy, and express it in writing and that also brings me joy. For those of you that feel the need to logic this experience to death, are missing the golden nugget that I’m intending to share with you. You see as I type these words I am joyful because that is who I am. Therefore, this joy is coming from me out to you. It’s a wonderful cylce. There needs to be no other reason to be joyful. Many people get caught up with trying to do all these amazing things, only to be left feeling a void. The void is there because, you have to really acknowledge and pay attention to the presenet moment as it arises, that’s where joy is at. From this place you can also now bring joy to others. So this works out nicely. I have included the my 3 tips on simply being joy.

3 Tips on Being Joy

1. Acknowledge the present moment. See and feel what you are experiencing right now. Don’t concern yourself with the past, or the future. Be here now. Know that all is well in this exact moment. This will open up an inner space for joy to arise. When you see that all is well right now, you are in a better feeling space. As you tune into to and develop an awareness of the present moment, your joy inside you gradually begins to emerge.

2. Bring joy to others. Even if you aren’t feeling the joy in you. Simply taking time to bring joy to others is a big key in bringing joy to yourself. Make someone laugh, or just be totatlly present with someone and appreciate and send them good positive vibes. Compliment and uplift them sicncerley on somethng they are doing well on.

3. Take it easy. For many people that get caught up easily in seeking a momentary ego rush in finding things outside of themselves, I urge you to take things easy. Focus on what is already here in your life and take things one step at a time. Many people spend their entire lives running from one place to another trying to find their joy, when all they really had to do was take it easy on themselves, and acknowledge the joy already inside them.

These 3 steps are only difficult when you realize that your life is operating on ego mode. In other words, for example, the need to prove something to others, will actually make these 3 steps close to impossible to take part in. However, your real wisdom comes from operating from your spirit mode and a sense of who you really are. Thus by operating from this space, you allow the following 3 steps to bring positive results and allow you to simply be the joy within you, versus how you otherwise might have been trying to search outside of you for the joy. Be joy today.

7 Habits To Keep Your High Positive Frequency Up

Hello all.
We live in an energy based world. Everything in this world carries an energy. This means that I am energy, and you are energy. Even objects carry a certain energy. For us, our energy begins with our daily thoughts. Every thought we think carries an energy. This energy transmutes into your physical world. I understand most people have a hard time accepting these ideas at first, but with practice you will see the positive results if you so choose this path. As you begin to understand this you will be more aware and want to know how to keep your high positive frequency up.
Below are the 7 steps that you can use to keep your higher positive Frequency Up.

1. Meditation
Begin now to practice daily mediation. When you take time for yourself every morning and mediate, you start your day from a calm and relaxed place. Don’t worry about what needs to get done that day, or begin stressing over small things at the start of your day. Start your day with relaxed clarity, and a clear mind. Sit in silence a few minutes each day without thinking a thought. There are several sites online that are really good at describing to you step by step on how to meditate, so I won’t go into it here. Daily practice of meditation brings the day ahead of you with more clarity and purpose.

2. Use Creative Visualization
Begin now to make it a daily habit to spend at least 10 minutes a day, envisioning in your minds eye things, people, and experiences you choose to manifest. Make sure that you visualize this as though it were happening in real time, and use all your senses and put your joyful, positive, loving, peaceful emotions into seeing your manifestation in your minds eye clearly. Really get into the emotion of feeling as though it is real to you at the moment you are visualizing. This gets you in the frequency to manifest. You will see doors of opportunity begin to open up for you as you practice creative visualization on a regular basis.

3. Keep Your Distance from Negative People
One of the things you need to be aware of in keeping your higher positive frequency up is knowing other people’s frequency. It is easy to have your higher energy zapped out when hanging around lower negative vibrational beings. Notice how people react to their circumstances in life, and keep clear of people that complain a lot and are hanging onto negative self defeating thoughts and actions.

4. Collaborate With Like Minds
I always make an effort to surround myself with people who have similar intentions as I do. This makes it a lot easier to be in a frequency of higher vibration. Surround yourself with people that are supportive and are going in a similar direction as you are. Share your intentions with your mastermind group, and you will build confidence and momentum together in a positive way that brings about really amazing results.

5. Develop Gratitude
Developing an attitude of gratitude, really does bring up your positive frequency. Start to look at things in your world as being thankful for. The more you are in a state of gratitude for the little things in life, you will see that your energy goes up. Take time out of your day to express gratitude for what you have in your life. Focus on what you have, and appreciate this. The more you are grateful for the good that is in your life. the more you will be grateful for. The universe loves gratitude.

6. Play More!
One of my favorites. Play with other people, have fun watch something funny. Do something funny, get creative and kick your inner child into motion! Make your projects playful and fun. (This is easy when you love what you do). Also Play more in nature. Nature is a very high frequency. When you are having fun and joyful in nature, your frequency will stay at a high level. Take things a little more easily, and play more!

7. Share With Others
As you raise your vibrations, you will feel the need to share this wisdom with others. Pass it along to people and lead by example. Share with them these new insights and you will feel wonderful for giving back to people the good vibes you feel within you. This is the process that keeps your high frequency up.

I hope these 7 habits are of positive value to your life. The truth is, that it takes a lot of self awareness to continually practice these steps daily. But it can be done!

With Gratitude,
